NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 10 – Wide Receivers and Tight Ends
While Week 10 is certainly not lacking top-tier wide receivers, the overall depth at tight end is thin with six teams on a bye. Let’s dive into the matchups and highlight some of the better options to consider at both positions. WIDE RECEIVER CASH TARGETS
Michael Thomas, NO vs. ATL
FanDuel = $8,700
DraftKings = $8,300
Since Thomas entered the league in 2016, he’s immediately become one of the most consistent wide receivers in fantasy. This season has been no different with him accumulating 73 receptions, 875 yards and four touchdowns across eight games. It’s even more impressive that he did that with Drew Brees missing five games. He has Brees back and will be facing a Falcons team that has allowed the 10th-most passing yards per game in the league, so look for him to once again rise to the occasion.
Mike Evans, TB vs. ARI
FanDuel = $8,600
DraftKings = $7,600
Evans is in the midst of a monster stretch that has seen him pile up 32 receptions, 474 yards and three touchdowns across his last three games. The key is that he received 45 targets during that stretch. He had received 38 total targets across his first five games of the season. This could be a high-scoring affair with both teams struggling to defend the pass, putting Evans right up there with Thomas in terms of appealing top-tier targets.
WIDE RECEIVER GPP TARGETS
Jamison Crowder, NYJ vs. NYG
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $5,000
The Jets and Giants have both struggled plenty this season with the Jets’ low point probably coming in their defeat at the hands of the Dolphins last week. If there was a bright spot in that contest, it was Crowder, who caught eight of nine targets for 83 yards and a touchdown. He leads the team with 59 targets this year, which could lead to a productive afternoon against a Giants secondary that has allowed the eighth-most passing yards per game.
Zach Pascal, IND vs. MIA
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $5,300
The Colts were without T.Y. Hilton (calf) last week against the Steelers, which left Pascal as their top wide receiver. He didn’t disappoint in a leading role, catching five of six targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. With Hilton doubtful for this matchup, Pascal could once again be primed to provide added value. There is still some question as to whether or not quarterback Jacoby Brissett (knee) will play, but Pascal is still cheap enough to target even if Brian Hoyer finds himself under center.
Christian Kirk, ARI at TB
FanDuel = $5,700
DraftKings = $5,200
Kirk was heavily involved in the Cardinals’ offense through their first three games, catching 20 of 32 targets for 205 yards. However, an ankle injury forced him to sit out Weeks 5 through 7. He posted eight catches for 79 yards in his first game back against the Saints, but the 49ers put the clamps on him in Week 9, holding him to two catches for eight yards. While that might deter some people from targeting him, the Buccaneers defense is not even in the same stratosphere as the 49ers’. In fact, they have allowed the second-most passing yards per game. Kirk has an excellent chance to out produce his price point.
TIGHT END CASH TARGETS
Travis Kelce, KC at TEN
FanDuel = $6,700
DraftKings = $6,400
There is plenty of buzz surrounding the status of Patrick Mahomes (knee), who has missed the last two games. It’s encouraging that he returned to practice Wednesday, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he will make his return. The good news is that even without Mahomes the last two weeks, Kelce has totaled 11 catches on 17 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown. He’s going to be heavily involved regardless of who is starting, making him an appealing cash game target.
Austin Hooper, ATL at NO
FanDuel = $6,600
DraftKings = $5,500
Kelce isn’t the only tight end dealing with an injury to his top quarterback. Matt Ryan (ankle) was forced to miss the Falcons’ last game in Week 8, although that didn’t stop Hooper from totaling six catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. He’s been a scoring machine lately with five touchdowns over his last six games. Initial signs are pointing towards Ryan returning after gaining some added rest on a bye, which would only strengthen Hooper’s case to be one of the better tight end options.
TIGHT END GPP TARGETS
Mike Gesicki, MIA at IND
FanDuel = $5,300
DraftKings = $3,100
With so many teams on a bye, we don’t have a lot of enticing cheap tight ends. If you’re looking to save some money at the position, Gesicki might be worth a look. He’s recorded at least 41 receiving yards in three of his last four games and is coming off of six catches for 95 yards against the Jets last week. The loss of Preston Williams (knee) at wide receiver could force the Dolphins to give Gesicki some added targets moving forward, as well.
Jack Doyle, IND vs. MIA
FanDuel = $5,200
DraftKings = $3,600
The duo of Doyle and Eric Ebron at tight end for the Colts doesn’t leave either player with a very high ceiling. However, Doyle did find his way into the end zone last week and is third on the team in red zone targets (five) behind Hilton (eight) and Pascal (six). With Hilton out and the Dolphins tied for the third-most passing touchdowns allowed (19), Doyle at least has a reasonable chance to provide value.
