NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 – Quarterbacks and Running Backs

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 – Quarterbacks and Running Backs

We are back to only four teams being on a bye in Week 11.  However, if you’re playing the main Sunday afternoon slate in DFS, the running back position is missing several key names with the Packers, Seahawks and Giants on byes and the Browns, Steelers, Rams and Chargers playing in prime time. With that being said, he are some of the better running backs who are left to consider, as well as some quarterbacks who could be in a position to thrive. QUARTERBACK CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 - Quarterbacks and Running Backs

Lamar Jackson, BAL vs. HOU
FanDuel = $8,800
DraftKings = $7,700

To say Jackson cashed in on a favorable matchup against the Bengals last week would be an understatement. He was near perfect in the passing games, completing 15 of 17 attempts for 223 yards and three touchdowns. He also dominated on the ground, turning seven carries into 65 yards and another score. That now makes five rushing touchdowns for him across his last four games. With the Texans allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game in the league, this has the potential to be a high-scoring affair in which Jackson thrives.

Drew Brees, NO at TB
FanDuel = $8,300
DraftKings = $6,900

As good as Jackson was Sunday, Brees was a disappointment. While he completed 32 of 45 passes for 287 yards, he failed to record a touchdown in the Saints’ shocking 26-9 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. While that might scare away some who were burned by him in DFS, don’t let it deter you from cashing in on this favorable matchup. The Bucs have allowed the most passing yards per game and the third-most passing touchdowns, so this might be just what Brees needs to get back on track.

QUARTERBACK GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 - Quarterbacks and Running Backs

Josh Allen, BUF at MIA
FanDuel = $7,800
DraftKings = $6,600

The Bills couldn’t get much going offensively last week during their 19-16 loss to the Browns. Allen was ineffective through the air, completing just 53.7 percent of his passes for 266 yards and no touchdowns. However, he salvaged his stat line with six carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns. He now has six rushing touchdowns for the season to go along with his 10 touchdown passes. While he likely won’t pass for a ton of yards even in this favorable matchup, it’s difficult to ignore his touchdown upside against one of the worst defenses in the league.

Derek Carr, OAK vs. CIN
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $6,100

Don’t look now, but the Raiders have won back-to-back games to improve their record to 5-4. They play the Bengals this week and the Jets the following week, so they could put themselves in a position to challenge for a playoff spot over the final few weeks. Carr has stepped up to throw eight touchdowns and only one interception across their last four contests and could shine against a Bengals team who was just torched by Jackson on Sunday and is still looking for their first win.

RUNNING BACK CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 - Quarterbacks and Running Backs

Christian McCaffrey, CAR vs. ATL
FanDuel = $10,500
DraftKings = $10,500

At this point, I don’t know how you fade McCaffrey in cash contests. He was once again productive against the Packers in Week 10, accumulating 141 total yards and a touchdown. The key was that he received 20 carries and seven targets. His volume within the Panthers’ offense is off the charts, which has resulted in him accumulating 185 carries and 59 targets across nine games. Don’t be afraid to pay his hefty price tag once again.

Josh Jacobs, OAK vs. CIN
FanDuel = $8,000
DraftKings = $6,900

The Raiders wouldn’t have a winning record if it wasn’t for their star rookie. He’s cranked up his game down the stretch, posting 504 rushing yards and five touchdowns over his last five games. The key is that he received 106 carries over that stretch compared to 62 carries across his first four contests. Combine his heavy workload with the Bengals allowing by far the most rushing yards per game in the league and Jacobs will be difficult to resist adding to your lineup.

RUNNING BACK GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 11 - Quarterbacks and Running Backs

Le’Veon Bell, NYJ at WAS
FanDuel = $7,400
DraftKings = $7,200

Bell is certainly a big name who plays a vital role within his team’s offense. The problem is the Jets’ offensive line is a mess, which makes him more of a tournament play than a cash option. He hasn’t rushed for more than 70 yards in a game this season, including last week versus the Giants when he only had 34 yards on 18 carries. On the bright side, he has recorded at least six catches in a game four times. Initial reports are that he should play this week despite battling a rib injury, so he’s a viable option against the porous Redskins’ rush defense.

Tevin Coleman, SF vs. ARI
FanDuel = $6,700
DraftKings = $6,100

It’s been all downhill for Coleman since he destroyed the Panthers for 105 rushing yards and four total touchdowns in Week 8. He recorded only 23 yards against the Cardinals in Week 9 and followed that up with 40 yards against the Seahawks last week. With his poor showing against the Cardinals, people might be avoiding him for their rematch. However, the Cardinals have allowed the ninth-most rushing yards per game. Also, Matt Breida was ineffective against the Seahawks and is battling an ankle injury. If Breida can’t play or is limited, Coleman could provide value at this reasonable price.

Brian Hill, ATL at CAR
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $4,800

The big news in the running back world is that Devonta Freeman (foot) is expected to miss at least the next two games. With Ito Smith (neck) on IR, the starting running back job for the Falcons now shifts to Hill. He received 20 carries against the Saints last week, finishing with 61 yards. With the likelihood that he receives a similar workload this week, he could shine against a Panthers defense that has allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per game.
