NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 15 – Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 15 – Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Week 14 was not a good one for wide receivers. Among the players who suffered season-ending injuries were Mike Evans, Alshon Jeffery and Calvin Ridley. That opens up opportunities for others to step into prominent roles and provide added production in DFS along the way. Let’s discuss some of the better players to target at the position for Week 15, as well as some tight ends that should be on your radar. WIDE RECEIVER CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 15 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

DeAndre Hopkins, HOU at TEN
FanDuel = $8,600
DraftKings = $8,000

Even though the Texans laid an egg last week against the Broncos, Hopkins did his part by catching seven passes for 120 yards and one touchdown. He received 13 targets in the contest, which marked his seventh game of the season with at least 11 targets. This has the potential to be a high-scoring affair between two teams who struggle to defend the pass, making Hopkins an extremely appealing option, even at his hefty price.

Chris Godwin, TB at DET
FanDuel = $8,400
DraftKings = $7,700

Godwin and Evans had formed a two-headed monster with the Bucs in which either of them could go off on any given week. With Evans now sidelined, Godwin takes over as the clear primary pass-catching option in their offense. That’s scary when you consider he already has 81 catches for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns while sharing the field with Evans. This is also a stellar matchup for him with the Lions allowing the third-most passing yards per game in the league.

WIDE RECEIVER GPP TARGETS

Breshad Perriman, TB at DET
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $4,500

Godwin isn’t the only player who stands to benefit from the absence of Evans. Perriman has a chance to step into the number two receiver spot after catching three of five targets for 70 yards and a touchdown last week. He was also productive in Week 13, catching five of six targets for 87 yards. With Lions’ deficiencies in covering the pass already discussed, Perriman should be a popular target in tournament play.

Darius Slayton, NYG vs. MIA
FanDuel = $6,300
DraftKings = $4,700

No Daniel Jones? No problem! Slayton didn’t skip a beat with Eli Manning under center against the Eagles last week, hauling in five of eight targets for 154 yards and two touchdowns. That marked his second game of the season with at least 100 receiving yards and the third time that he has registered multiple touchdowns in a game. Regardless of who is under center this week, he’s still a viable option against a Dolphins team that has allowed the second-most passing touchdowns.

A.J. Brown, TEN vs. HOU
FanDuel = $6,200
DraftKings = $6,000

Slayton wasn’t the only young wide out who went off last week. Brown produced an almost identical stat line, catching five of seven targets for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He’s registered at least 135 yards in two of his last three games and carries significantly more upside now that Ryan Tannehill is under center. He’s not the safest option, but he could be worth the risk at his reasonable price on both sites.

TIGHT END CASH TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 15 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Travis Kelce, KC vs. DEN
FanDuel = $7,300
DraftKings = $6,500

Good old reliable Kelce was at it again last week, posting seven catches for 66 yards against a tough Patriots defense. He received nine targets, marking the 11th time this season that he has had at least eight passes thrown his way. Even though he only finished with six catches for 44 yards against the Broncos earlier this season, the Chiefs lost Patrick Mahomes early in that game due to injury, which likely had an impact on his numbers.

Zach Ertz, PHI at WAS
FanDuel = $6,700
DraftKings = $6,000

The loss of Jeffery will put even more of the offensive burden on the shoulders of Ertz, who stepped up last week against the Giants to catch nine of 13 targets for 91 yards and two touchdowns. He has now received at least 11 targets in four of his last five games. The Redskins have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends, leaving Ertz with a tremendously high floor here.

TIGHT END GPP TARGETS

NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 15 - Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

David Njoku, CLE at ARI
FanDuel = $5,500
DraftKings = $4,200

Whenver a tight end is facing the Cardinals, he should be on your radar in DFS. They have allowed an average of 16.6 FanDuel points per game to opposing tight ends, which is by far the most in the league. Njoku wasn’t overly impressive in his return from injury last week, partly because he was only on the field for 37.5 percent of the Browns’ offensive snaps. However, we could see more of him this week, potentially making him worth the risk in tournament play.

Greg Olsen, CAR vs. SEA
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $3,900

The Seahawks have been the next-worst team behind the Cardinals against tight ends, allowing 12.9 FanDuel points per game to the position. That immediately makes Olsen someone to consider, although he has to clear the concussion protocol first. If he doesn’t play, then his teammate Ian Thomas is just as appealing. He played extremely well in Olsen’s absence last week, catching five of 10 targets for 57 yards and a touchdown. UPDATE: Olsen has been ruled out, making Thomas a great cheap target.
