NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 7- Quarterbacks
The main Sunday afternoon slate is going to look very different for Week 7. The Chiefs, Eagles, Cowboys, Patriots and Browns are all either playing in a prime time game or are on a bye, taking some of the more prominent quarterbacks off the table. With that in mind, here are some players to target and avoid while crafting your lineup. CASH TARGETS
Russell Wilson, SEA vs. BAL
FanDuel = $8,500
DraftKings = $6,600
Through six games, Wilson has yet to throw an interception. That shouldn’t come as a huge surprise considering he had seven all of last season. With 14 touchdowns already, he’s well on his way to his third straight season with at least 34 touchdown passes. The Ravens haven’t given up many touchdowns through the air, but they’ve had a pretty easy schedule with three of their six games coming against the Dolphins, Steelers and Bengals. Despite that, they have allowed the eighth-most passing yards per game in the league, so look for Wilson to keep things rolling.
Josh Allen, BUF vs. MIA
FanDuel = $7,700
DraftKings = $6,500
The Bills are off to a 4-1 start and have about as favorable of a matchup as it gets coming out of their bye against the Dolphins. The Dolphins have not only been a mess on offense, but they have allowed the third-most touchdown passes (14) while recording only one interception. Allen has continued to provide value with both his arm and his legs this season, generating five touchdown passes and three rushing scores. Add in the fact that this game is at home and Allen has the makings of one of the safer quarterbacks on this slate.
GPP TARGETS
Jared Goff, LAR at ATL
FanDuel = $7,800
DraftKings = $6,200
Goff and the Rams couldn’t get much going against the 49ers in Week 6 during their 20-7 loss. Goff only attempted 24 passes, completing 13 of them for 78 yards. Although he didn’t throw a pick in that game, he already has seven this season compared to his seven touchdown passes. On the bright side, he did have back-to-back performances with at least 395 passing yards before being shut down by the 49ers. This matchup presents an excellent opportunity for him to get back on track since the Falcons have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns (15) and the sixth-most passing yards per game.
Kyler Murray, ARI at NYG
FanDuel = $7,700
DraftKings = $6,700
Week 6’s bout between the Cardinals and Falcons had the makings of a shootout and neither team disappointed. Murray helped lead the Cardinals to their second win of the season, completing 27 of 37 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 32 rushing yards on 11 carries, which was the second straight week that he posted at least 10 rushing attempts. This game with the Giants has the potential to be another high-scoring affair with fellow rookie Daniel Jones bringing his team’s offense to life. That leaves Murray with plenty of upside considering the Giants have allowed the second-most passing yards per game.
Gardner Minshew, JAC at CIN
FanDuel = $6,900
DraftKings = $5,400
While Minshew wasn’t as bad as Goff last week, he wasn’t much better. He couldn’t get anything going in the Jaguars’ loss to the Saints, throwing for 163 yards and an interception. By failing to record a touchdown pass, he broke a streak of three straight games with at least two scores through the air. He checks in as one of the more cost-effective options on both sites this week and has an excellent chance to provide a valuable stat line against a porous Bengals’ defense that has also only picked off two passes all season.
PLAYERS TO AVOID
Philip Rivers, LAC at TEN
FanDuel = $7,600
DraftKings = $5,500
The Chargers were on their way to being blown out Sunday night against the Steelers, which forced Rivers to throw the ball a lot late. He finished with 44 pass attempts, marking the third time that he has thrown at least 40 passes in a game this season. He did provide 320 yards and two touchdowns, but he was also picked off twice. That marked his second straight game with at least two interceptions, bringing his total to six for the season. Although his price in DraftKings isn’t bad, he’s way too expensive on FanDuel for his matchup against the Titans, who have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards per game.
Teddy Bridgewater, NO at CHI
FanDuel = $7,000
DraftKings = $5,300
Not only has Bridegwater kept the Saints afloat since Drew Brees (thumb) went down, but he’s won all four games in which he has started. Still, he only has seven touchdowns during that stretch, four of which came in one game against a Bucs team that hasn’t been able to stop anyone. This is a different story against the Bears, who have allowed only four touchdowns passes all season. There just isn’t enough upside to warrant adding Bridgewater to your entry.
