NFL Daily Fantasy Football Recommendations for Week 7 – Wide Receivers
While there is no shortage of big names at wide receiver for Week 7, there are also several cheaper options who could outproduce their price point. Let’s dive into the matchups and highlight some players to target, as well as a couple to avoid. CASH TARGETS
Cooper Kupp, LAR at ATL
FanDuel = $7,800
DraftKings = $7,400
Jared Goff only had 78 passing yards against the 49ers last week, so none of the receivers on the Rams had productive afternoons. Kupp finished with only 17 yards on four receptions after having racked up at least 100 receiving yards in each of his previous four games. The Falcons have allowed the sixth-most passing yards per game in the league, so expect Kupp to rebound in a big way in this contest.
Adam Thielen, MIN at DET
FanDuel = $7,100
DraftKings = $6,900
While Stefon Diggs was destroying the Eagles last week, Thielen quietly caught six of eight targets for 57 yards and a touchdown. He’s showing that his nine touchdown receptions last year were no fluke, posting five through his first six games. It will be difficult for both Thielen and Diggs to provide meaty stat lines on a weekly basis, but Thielen has arguably the higher floor, making him a great cash option versus a Lions team that has allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game.
Tyler Lockett, SEA vs. BAL
FanDuel = $6,500
DraftKings = $6,600
Despite the Seahawks scoring at least 27 points in three straight games, Lockett hasn’t been all that productive. During that stretch, he has a total of 13 catches on 13 targets for 177 yards and a touchdown. However, the Seahawks will have to rely on him even more now that they lost tight end Will Dissly (Achilles) for the season. Dissly is actually tied with Lockett for second on the team in red zone targets (six), so Lockett could see a heavy dose of scoring opportunities come his way. Facing a Ravens’ team that has allowed the eighth-most passing yards per game, Lockett could be in for one of his better stat lines here.
GPP TARGETS
D.J. Chark Jr., JAC at CIN
FanDuel = $6,600
DraftKings = $6,000
After a monster performance in Week 5 in which Chark had 164 yards and two touchdowns, he came back down to Earth in Week 6 with three catches for 43 yards against the Saints. He did receive seven targets in that contest, leaving him with 44 already for the season. The Bengals will be extremely thin in their secondary without cornerbacks Dre Kirkpatrick (knee) and William Jackson (shoulder), so look for Chark to feast on their backups.
John Brown, BUF vs. MIA
FanDuel = $5,900
DraftKings = $5,500
I don’t see how you can pass up Brown on either site, but especially at his price on DraftKings. While he only has one touchdown this season, he’s totaled at least five catches and 69 receiving yards in four of his five games. With the Dolphins allowing the seventh-most passing yards per game and 14 passing touchdowns, Brown is primed for a big performance.
Larry Fitzgerald, ARI at NYG
FanDuel = $5,600
DraftKings = $6,100
Fitzgerald has received at least 100 targets in each of his first 15 seasons in the league and is well on his way to reaching that threshold again this year with 52 targets through six games. The seemingly ageless wide receiver has remained productive, catching 35 of them for 427 yards and two touchdowns. Facing a Giants defense that allows second-most passing yards per game has Fitzgerald set up for another productive day at the office.
PLAYERS TO AVOID
Keenan Allen, LAC at TEN
FanDuel = $7,500
DraftKings = $6,700
Allen couldn’t have played much better coming out of the gate, posting 29 receptions for 404 yards and three touchdowns through three games. However, he only has 11 catches for 99 yards since. The difference is that he received 42 targets across the first three-game stretch compared to 17 targets across the second. The Titans have allowed the sixth-fewest passing yards per game, so despite Allen’s massive potential, it’s difficult to justify spending this much to put him into your entry considering his recent cold streak.
Terry McLaurin, WAS vs. SF
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $6,100
The Redskins finally put one in the win column last week, although it’s difficult to be overly excited about beating the Dolphins. McLaurin certainly feasted against their putrid defense, catching four of seven targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns. He’s in the midst of a fantastic rookie campaign with 408 yards and five touchdowns through five games, but this is not the week to put him in your entry. The 49ers’ defense has been on lockdown mode all season, allowing the fewest passing yards per game while generating seven interceptions.
