The NBA takes a step back from the 11-game slate Wednesday with only three games on the schedule Thursday. Even with so few options, there are still some great value plays to consider. POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/18/18

Goran Dragic, MIA at WAS
FanDuel = $6,200
DraftKings = $6,000

The Heat were extremely shorthanded Wednesday with James Johnson, Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, and Wayne Ellington all sidelined. Dragic was one of the players who stepped up in their absence, scoring 26 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists and one block in 32 minutes versus the Magic. There is a chance that all four players will sit again Thursday, which would again leave Dragic with an added role in the offense. He might lose a few assists without as many quality players around him, but he should make up for that with added scoring.

Cameron Payne, CHI at PHI

DraftKings = $3,600

Payne enters this season as the backup at point guard to Kris Dunn. Payne had a few decent games last year when given extended playing time, but a lot of those performances came when Dunn was injured. Even though his playing time will be somewhat limited, the Bulls are extremely thin at point guard outside of him and Dunn. In 23 minutes per game last year, Payne averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 assists, one steal and 1.4 three-pointers per contest. His upside isn’t great, but if the Bulls get down big on the road against the far superior Sixers, Payne could be productive in garbage time.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/18/18

J.J. Redick, PHI vs. CHI

DraftKings = $5,100

The Sixers are going with an odd strategy of using Markelle Fultz as the starting shooting guard to begin games, but then starting Redick there for the third quarter. Fultz ended up playing 24 minutes under that arrangement in their season opener, but he didn’t play well. Redick, on the other hand, scored 16 points and hit two three-pointers in 29 minutes. Fultz is going to have his growing pains, so expect Redick to edge him out in playing time, at least for now. The Bulls are not a good defensive team, so Redick might be able to light them up from behind the arc.

Justin Holiday, CHI at PHI
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $4,300

The Bulls entered the preseason with the intention of starting Jabari Parker at small forward and Lauri Markkanen at power forward. Once Markkanen went down with an elbow injury, it opened the door for Parker to slide to power forward and for Holiday to enter the starting five. Parker has since been moved to a sixth man role off the bench, but Holiday remains a member of the starting unit. He won’t get a ton of shots playing alongside Zach LaVine and Bobby Portis, but he should get enough playing time to be worth considering at this cheap price.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/18/18

Josh Richardson, MIA at WAS

DraftKings = $6,200

Not only did Dragic benefit from the Heat’s lack of depth Wednesday, but Richardson finished the game with 21 shot attempts. He wasn’t very efficient and was only 2-for-10 from behind the arc, but he still scored 21 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block. Should the Heat have the same injury concerns Thursday, look for Richardson to play a vital role in their offense.

Otto Porter Jr., WAS vs. MIA
FanDuel = $6,400
DraftKings = $5,600

Porter doesn’t get a lot of headlines playing with John Wall and Bradley Beal, but he’s a fine player in his own right. He doesn’t always get a lot of shot attempts, but he’s been efficient with a field goal percentage of at least 50.3% in both of the last two seasons. Not only does he provide added value on the glass, but he also averaged 1.5 steals last year and has recorded at least 1.4 steals per contest in each of the last three seasons. Don’t count on him to provide as much scoring as Richardson, but Porter is still a viable option for your entry.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/18/18

Bobby Portis, CHI at PHI

DraftKings = $5,700

The Bulls made a somewhat surprising decision late in the preseason to start Portis ahead of Parker. Portis was ticketed to provide a ton of energy off their bench, but the Bulls decided to move Parker to a bench role after they struggled mightily on the defensive end at the start of the preseason. Portis is instant offense, posting the second-highest usage rate (26%) on the team last year. LaVine is going to take a ton of shots, but Portis might be the second best offensive weapon among their starters.

Markieff Morris, WAS vs. MIA
FanDuel = $5,000
DraftKings = $5,000

The Wizards added Dwight Howard over the summer, but he’s battling a back injury and is listed as questionable for this contest. Even if he does take the floor, he may not be completely healthy. The Wizards don’t have a ton of quality size up front behind Howard and Morris with their backups including Jeff Green, Ian Manhimi and Jason Smith. Morris might be forced to spend some additional time at center in this game, giving him added opportunities to provide value. He’s going to take a back seat offensively to Wall, Beal, and Porter, but he still chipped in 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds across 27 minutes per game last year.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/18/18

JaVale McGee, LAL at POR
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $4,500

The Lakers made several additions during the offseason, one of which was adding McGee to their very shallow group of centers. McGee is expected to start, but he likely won’t see traditional starter’s minutes. Expect the Lakers to deploy a lot of small lineups. With that being said, McGee is still going to play more than the 10 minutes a game he averaged last year with the Warriors. He also has the opportunity for a lot of easy buckets catching passes from LeBron James, Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball. McGee is also a great source for blocks, making him someone to target in tournament play at this cheap price.

Bam Adebayo, MIA at WAS
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,900

The Heat were a bit of a mess at center last season. Hassan Whiteside was expected to be their anchor in the middle, but he averaged only 25 minutes a game. That opened up the door for Adebayo to get extra minutes. Whiteside did play 33 minutes in their opener Wednesday, but Abebayo still logged 22 minutes due to all of their injuries. He chipped in nine points, eight rebounds, and a steal, helping him stay in the discussion as a value play option Thursday. However, I do prefer McGee to Adebayo if you want to save money at center.

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/17/18

Trey Burke, NY vs. ATL

DraftKings = $5,600

Burke’s tenure with the Knicks last season was a pleasant surprise, posting 12.8 points, 4.7 assists and 1.1 three-pointers per game. He also shot a staggering 50.3% from the field, but expect that to drop this season based on his 40.4% shooting percentage for his career. The Knicks named him their starting point guard for opening night and they’ll be searching for scoring with Kristaps Porzingis still recovering from a torn ACL. Burke had a 25.1% usage rate last year and could start of the season on a high note.

Patty Mills, SA vs. MIN
FanDuel = $4,500
DraftKings = $4,600

The Spurs have been decimated at point guard. First, Dejounte Murray was lost for the season with a torn ACL. Then, Derrick White went down with a heel injury. Rookie Lonnie Walker IV is also injured and Tony Parker is now in Charlotte, leaving Mills with the potential for significant playing time. Last season, Mills averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 assists and 2.3 three-pointers across 19 games in which he logged at least 30 minutes. His upside isn’t off the charts, but he’s cheap enough to be worth considering for your entry.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/17/18

Caris LeVert, BKN at DET

DraftKings = $5,800

The Nets are dealing with their own injury concerns with Allen Crabbe, DeMarre Carroll and Shabazz Napier all ruled out for Wednesday. To make matters worse, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is questionable with a hip injury. Even if Hollis-Jefferson does play, the door is open for LeVert to get extended run. Over nine games in which LeVert logged at least 30 minutes last year, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and six assists.

Jeremy Lamb, CHA vs. MIL
FanDuel = $5,400
DraftKings = $5,700

The Hornets dealt away Dwight Howard over the summer, which left a significant hole in their offense since he had the third-highest usage rate (24.2%) on the team last year. Although he doesn’t play Howard’s position, Lamb will be one of the players tasked with filling the scoring void created by his departure. Lamb will also move into the starting lineup this year, which is great news considering he averaged 15.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.6 three-pointers across 18 starts last year.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/17/18

Tauren Prince, ATL at NY

DraftKings = $6,100

This matchup between the Hawks and the Knicks might be one of the least exciting ones on the slate. These are both two bad teams working their way through a rebuilding process. Neither team has a lot of potent scorers, but don’t overlook Prince’s potential. He came on strong after the All-Star break last year, averaging 19 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.2 three-pointers across 23 games.

Jonathan Isaac, ORL vs. MIA
FanDuel = $5,700
DraftKings = $5,000

The sixth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Isaac was limited to 27 games last year due to injury. Although he only averaged 20 minutes per contest, he showed his incredible defensive upside by averaging 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks. He still has a ways to go offensively, evident by the fact that he shot 37.9% from the field last year. With that being said, he could do enough defensively and on the boards in this game to warrant consideration.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/17/18

Kelly Olynyk, MIA at ORL

DraftKings = $6,100

The Heat are dealing with plenty of injuries Wednesday with Justise Winslow, James Johnson, Wayne Ellington and Dion Waiters all listed as either doubtful or out. The Magic have a talented frontcourt made up of Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Mohamed Bamba, and Isaac, so the Heat are likely going to rely heavily on Olynyk in this game. In 12 games in which Olynyk logged at least 30 minutes last year, he averaged 16.8 points, eight rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.7 steals.

P.J. Tucker, HOU vs. NO
FanDuel = $4,100
DraftKings = $3,900

The Rockets roster has a lot of big names, including James Harden, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony. One player who doesn’t always get the credit that he deserves is Tucker, whose ability to defend multiple positions and shoot three’s goes a long way towards helping them be successful. He’s expected to open the season as a member of the starting five with Anthony and Eric Gordon set to come off the bench. The Rockets will also be somewhat shorthanded up front with Marquese Chriss out with an ankle injury. Tucker might not score a ton of points, but he could provide enough in other areas to be an option at near the minimum price.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper Lineup Picks for 10/17/18

Jarrett Allen, BKN at DET

DraftKings = $5,700

The Nets need Allen to make significant improvements this season. They were one of the worst teams in the league at defending opposing centers last year despite Allen averaging 1.2 blocks in only 20 minutes per game. With Ed Davis and Kenneth Faried as his backups, expect Allen to see more playing time if he can stay out of foul trouble. Facing Andre Drummond is no easy task, but the potential for increased playing time certainly works in Allen’s favor.

Alex Len, ATL at NY
FanDuel = $5,100
DraftKings = $5,600

The Hawks are the walking wounded up front. Not only will they be without one of the keys to their future in John Collins, but Dewayne Dedmon will also sit out Wednesday. The door is open for Len to log plenty of minutes after seeing inconsistent playing time with the Suns last year. Len shined when given an opportunity, averaging 17.3 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over three games in which he played at least 30 minutes.

Quinn Cook, GS vs. MIL

DraftKings = $6,400

Cook has done an excellent job picking up the slack for all of the injured Warriors, averaging 19 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 three-pointers in his last six games. He was heavily involved in the offense, averaging 15.2 shot attempts during that stretch. Stephen Curry (knee) and Klay Thompson (thumb) will be out again Thursday, leaving Quinn with additional playing time once again. However, he might not get as many shots as he has been with Kevin Durant (ribs) and Draymond Green (illness) expected to return. Even if he is less involved, he has a high enough minutes floor that he can still provide value for your entry.

Tyler Johnson, MIA vs. CHI
FanDuel = $4,700
DraftKings = $4,400

Johnson hasn’t been consistent offensively of late, scoring eight points or fewer in four of his last six games. However, he scored at least 19 points in both of the other two games. Thursday brings a great matchup against the Bulls, who have allowed an average of 119.6 points in their last five games. His price is the lowest it’s been in awhile due to his recent struggles, so now might be the time to capitalize.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/29/18

Buddy Hield, SAC vs. IND
FanDuel = $6,200
DraftKings = $5,800

Hield has had his best month of the season in March, averaging 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.4 three-pointers per game. He’s also averaged 28 minutes per game this month, which is higher than any previous month this season. The Kings are giving their young players more opportunities down the stretch, so expect Hield to see an expanded role again Thursday. His production outside of scoring is inconsistent, but his offensive upside is still high enough to warrant considering him for your entry.

Wayne Ellington, MIA vs. CHI
FanDuel = $4,200
DraftKings = $4,300

Although the Heat have been thin up front, their backcourt is healthy for the most part. That has resulted in Ellington logging 27 minutes or fewer in four straight games. He’s still taking plenty of shots from behind the arc though, attempting 25 three-pointers in those four contests. The Bulls have allowed opponents to shoot 37.1% from behind the arc this season, which is eighth-highest in the league. Ellington might be low owned Thursday, but he could be worth the risk in tournament play.

SMALL FORWARDS

Denzel Valentine, CHI at MIA

DraftKings = $6,200

The Bulls should continue to have limited depth in their backcourt Thursday with Kris Dunn (toe) and Zach LaVine (knee) both likely out. Valentine has had some big offensive performances in their absence, scoring at least 18 points in three of his last six games. He continues to fire away from behind the arc, attempting at least seven three-pointers in six of his last seven contests. The Heat are one of the better defensive teams in the league, but with the Bulls missing so many key players up and down their roster, Valentine’s increased usage makes him a viable option to consider.

Bojan Bogdanovic, IND at SAC
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $5,100

After a five-game stretch during the middle of March where Bogdanovic really struggled, he’s heated back up by averaging 21 points and 2.7 three-pointers in his last three games. He’s even provided value on the boards, grabbing at least six rebounds in two of those three contests. He played well in his first meeting with the Kings this season, scoring 17 points and hitting three three-pointers in only 27 minutes. On a night with so few options, Bogdanovic’s offensive upside makes him a strong cost-effective option at small forward.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/29/18

Skal Labissiere, SAC vs. IND

DraftKings = $5,200

The Kings have been one of the most frustrating teams when it comes to their rotations this season. No player on the team has averaged more than 28 minutes per game this season, leaving many of them with limited upside. Labissiere is finally starting to see more minutes with the Kings playing for nothing but a high draft pick, logging 30 minutes in each of the last three games. He’s taken advantage of the playing time, averaging 14 points, 7.7 rebounds, three assists and 1.3 blocks. His ceiling likely isn’t very high against a tough Pacers defense, but he can still provide value at this price.

Noah Vonleh, CHI at MIA
FanDuel =$4,600
DraftKings = $4,700

The Bulls have already been resting Robin Lopez and will now likely be without Cristiano Felicio (back), who is listed as doubtful for Thursday. Vonleh has already played at last 20 minutes in seven straight games, averaging 8.9 points, nine rebounds, and one steal during that stretch. Even if Lopez does start Thursday, he will likely only see limited minutes and not play at all in the second half. Vonleh is not a big offensive threat, but he should still at least approach a double-double Thursday.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/29/18

Steven Adams, OKC at SA
FanDuel = $6,900
DraftKings = $6,800

There aren’t a lot of great center options Thursday, especially on FanDuel. Adams is certainly not cheap, but you might need to pay up at center to have a winning entry. Adams gets a ton of playing time on a Thunder squad that lacks depth up front, averaging a career-high 33 minutes per game this season. He has posted a double-double in three of his last five games and also scored at least 24 points twice during that same stretch. He should have a high floor again Thursday, even against a tough Spurs defense that allows the fewest points per game (99.4) in the league.

Marcin Gortat, WAS at DET
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $4,600

Gortat doesn’t provide much offense, scoring seven points or fewer in six of his last nine games. He’s still been able to contribute on the boards though, grabbing at least seven rebounds in five of his last six contests. He’s only averaging 22 minutes per game in March, which severely limits his upside. The Wizards are going to need him to battle with Andre Drummond on Thursday though and Gortat has had some success against the Pistons, averaging 10.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals in their three previous matchups this season. If you are determined to save money at center, Gortat might be your best bet to get some value.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Schedule Analysis for Week 24

It’s important to know the intricacies of the NBA schedule to gain an advantage over your opponent in a head-to-head fantasy league as starting your best players might not always give you the best chance to win. Here are some moves you might want to consider for your team based on the week ahead.

Teams With The Most Games – 4 Games Each
Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards

There are 17 teams who each play four games this week, which is a big help considering the number of injuries piling up across the league. If you need some help for your squad in what is likely championship week in your league, consider adding the players below who are still available in the majority of leagues.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Schedule Analysis for Week 24

Quinn Cook, Golden State Warriors

The Warriors have been decimated by injuries to their star players, the most significant of which is to Stephen Curry (knee). Curry returned from an ankle injury only to hurt his knee and will not only miss the rest of the regular season but also likely part of the playoffs. Quinn has excelled with Curry out, averaging 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 three-pointers in his last six games. It’s important to note that Kevin Durant (ribs), Klay Thompson (thumb) and Draymond Green (illness) have all missed time during that stretch as well. Durant and Green are likely to return at some point this week, which would limit Cook’s role in the offense. However, with Curry and Thompson out, Cook will get enough playing time to provide a boost if your squad needs a guard. He’s still available in 57% of Yahoo! leagues.

Cameron Payne, Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are tanking hard down the stretch and have been extra cautious with injuries, one of which is to starting point guard Kris Dunn (toe). Dunn is likely out for most, if not all, of Week 24. Even if he does play at some point this week, he would likely be on a minutes restriction. Payne has played well in Dunn’s absence, averaging 11 points, 3.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in five starts. He won’t help your shooting percentage though as he is shooting just 42.2% from the field this season. If you need assists and three-pointers though, he could be a valuable addition who is still available in 85% of Yahoo! leagues.

Luke Kennard, Detroit Pistons

Kennard is having his best month of the season in March, averaging 11 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 10 games. It’s no coincidence that his playing time has been on the rise, averaging 26 minutes per contest over that same stretch. Three of his four games this week are great matchups against the Lakers, Knicks, and Nets. The Lakers and the Nets are both in the top seven in the league in pace of play and the Knicks are struggling mightily down the stretch. Kennard is still available in 95% of Yahoo! leagues, but could be in line for a big week when it might matter to you the most.

Teams With The Fewest Games – 2 Games Each
Toronto Raptors

The Raptors are the only team with just two games this week, dealing a significant blow to the players on their roster. Of the teams playing three games each this week, some are dealing with injury issues as well. Here are some players that you may normally start who might be better suited to be on your bench this week.

NBA Fantasy Basketball Schedule Analysis for Week 24

Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat

The Heat have three games this week, but Whiteside (hip) hasn’t played in eight straight games. The Heat still have yet to announce a timetable for his return, which is not encouraging for him this week. With their first game coming up quickly Tuesday, it’s reasonable to expect him to miss at least one more contest. Even if he does return at some point this week, he could be on a minutes restriction. He’s a great option when healthy, but he’s just too risky to put into your lineup this week.

Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors

Valanciunas is closing out the season on a high note, averaging 16.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game in March. However, having only two games this week really hurts his value. One of them is against the Celtics, a team he only averaged four points and five rebounds against in two previous games this season. His playing time can be inconsistent as well, so the time might be right to place him on your bench.

Serge Ibaka, Toronto Raptors

Unlike Valanciunas, Ibaka is not playing well down the stretch, averaging just 10.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in March. Ibaka’s value comes mainly from being able to provide contributions in multiple categories, but he doesn’t excel in any one particular area. With only two games this week, he just won’t have enough opportunities to help you across the board to warrant putting him in your lineup.

His jump shot still has a long way to go, but the Bulls are going to continue to give him minutes down the stretch to develop his game, especially with all of their injuries. His numbers don’t jump off the page, but Nwaba is averaging a respectable 9.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and one block in his last six games. He doesn’t have as much value as he did when he was starting for a stretch earlier this season, but he’s still a viable option to consider.

The Bucks will likely be without Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) on Friday, who is listed as doubtful to play against the Bulls. That would leave a huge hole in their offense as he has the fifth-highest usage rate (31.5%) in the league. While it’s a very small sample size, Muhammad has shown he is going to be involved offensively when he is on the court since joining the Bucks, posting a 25% usage rate in four games. He played 14 minutes in the game when Giannis suffered the injury Wednesday, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. The Bulls have allowed an average of 117.2 points in their last six games, so Muhammad is someone to consider taking a chance on in tournament play.

Expect him to log similar minutes if Giannis does indeed sit, giving him tremendous upside against the depleted Bulls. It’s hard to pass him up considering his price on both sites.

The Warriors are decimated by injuries right now, but Stephen Curry (ankle) is expected to return Friday. They will still be without Klay Thompson (thumb), Kevin Durant (ribs) and Draymond Green (pelvis) though, leaving plenty of minutes and scoring opportunities for their bench players. Looney has played at least 20 minutes in four straight games, averaging 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 2.3 blocks. The Hawks allow the third-most points per game on both FanDuel and DraftKings to opposing power forwards, making Looney a great cost-effective option to consider.

Devin has actually scored at least 10 points in five of his last six games, which might not be that hard to do against the struggling Bulls with added minutes. His upside isn’t high, but he can still provide value.

Both the Hornets and Nets are in the top nine in the league in pace of play, so Monk could have value with added opportunities to produce possibly on tap.

Although this isn’t an exciting matchup between two bad teams, Carroll is someone to strongly consider for your entry.

Jrue Holiday (illness) didn’t play Tuesday and his status is uncertain for Wednesday as well, which could open up an even greater role in the offense for Moore. Even if Holiday does take the floor, Moore’s normal allotment of playing time still makes him a viable option at this price.

The Heat will be without their main man in the middle again Wednesday with Hassan Whiteside (hip) set to his miss his sixth straight game. Olynyk didn’t start any of the first five games that Whiteside was sidelined, but he did average 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, four assists, 1.2 steals, 1.8 blocks and two three-pointers per contest. He gets to face a struggling Knicks team that has allowed an average of 113.9 points in their last ten games, so don’t be surprised if he has another big performance.

The Bulls already wanted to give Vonleh an extended look before they started to suffer all of their injuries, so he’s primed for extended playing time again Wednesday. He shot a combined 10-for-31 (32.2%) from the field, so his scoring average could have been higher if a few extra shots fell his way. The price is right to take a chance on him in tournament play.

He’s never one to shy away from taking shots and with the Warriors playing at the fourth-fastest pace (102.5 possessions per game) in the league, he could be in for another valuable scoring night against the Kings.

He played 31 minutes Wednesday against the Kings and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him play a similar total Friday against the uptempo Lakers. His price is climbing, but it’s still low enough where he can provide value.

The Lakers may be going with smaller lineups if Kyle Kuzma (ankle) is unable to play, which would benefit Johnson’s skill set. Even if Kuzma does take the floor, Johnson should have enough opportunities to provide value.

He only played 25 minutes, but with the team’s second-highest usage rate of 22.6%, he doesn’t necessarily have to play a lot in order to put up numbers. Al Horford (illness) is expected to return Friday, so that will likely hamper Monroe’s value to an extent. With the Magic playing at the ninth-fastest pace (100.4) and allowing the sixth-most points per game (109.6) in the league though, Monroe is still a viable cheap option at center.

Don’t look now, but Pachulia has recorded a double-double in two straight contests. The Kings have size and depth up front, so it wouldn’t be surprising for Pachulia to see similar playing time Friday. The Kings allow the second-most FanDuel points per game and the fourth-most DraftKings points per game to opposing centers, making Pachulia an intriguing option.

He’ll get to face a depleted Celtics backcourt Wednesday that will be without Kyrie Irving (knee), Marcus Smart (thumb) and Jaylen Brown (concussion). Terry Rozier is a fine player and will have a big role with all of them out, but they don’t have many quality players behind him. Look for Satoransky to thrive in this matchup against the Celtics backups.

Talk about a triumphant return. The Bucks signed Jennings to a 10-day contract and he made his season debut Monday, scoring 16 points to go along with eight rebounds, 12 assists, and three three-pointers. He played 24 minutes against a bad Grizzlies team, which has to be taken into consideration when you look at his numbers. Don’t expect him to be able to match that production again Wednesday, but he could approach 20 minutes again if the Bucks get up big against the lowly Magic. Of note, Jennings is not part of the player pool on FanDuel for some reason, so you’ll only have the opportunity to take advantage of his cheap price if you are playing on DraftKings.

His offensive upside isn’t very high, but his ability to provide production in multiple categories makes him someone to consider for your entry.

POINT GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/8/18

Tyler Johnson, MIA vs. PHI

DraftKings = $5,200

Johnson has provided an offensive spark for the Heat lately, scoring at least 16 points in three of his last four games. He was efficient from the field during those three contests, shooting a combined 20-for-37 (54.1%). Johnson has had some success in three previous meetings with the Sixers this season, averaging 12.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 three-pointers. The expected return of Wayne Ellington (quad) on Thursday adds further depth to the Heat, but Johnson should still get enough playing time to warrant consideration for your entry.

Raymond Felton, OKC vs. PHO
FanDuel = $3,600
DraftKings = $3,400

Felton played just nine minutes in a close game between these same two teams last week, but still scored five points and dished out four assists. Considering the Suns play at the fourth-fastest pace (102.5 possessions per game) and allow the most points per game (113.3) in the league, it’s not surprising that Felton put up those numbers in such limited minutes. If he gets more minutes Thursday, there is a good chance he provides value at this price.

SHOOTING GUARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/8/18

Dwayne Wade, MIA vs. PHI

DraftKings = $5,400

Wade has stepped up offensively lately, scoring at least 22 points in three of his last five games. Although he’s coming off the bench and playing limited minutes still, Wade has a 31.6% usage rate with the Heat compared to a 24.3% usage rate during his time in Cleveland. He lit up the Sixers for 27 points in their last meeting, making him a viable option at a reasonable price again Thursday.

Malik Monk, CHA vs. BKN
FanDuel = $3,500
DraftKings = $3,000

Monk played 16 minutes in the Hornets last game Tuesday, scoring nine points to go along with two rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) did not play in that contest and will be out Thursday, which should mean more minutes for Monk once again. The Nets play at the seventh-fastest pace (101) and allow the third-most points per game (110) in the league, leaving Monk with a promising matchup. His ceiling is not high by any means, but he could be worth the risk in tournament considering how little he will impact your budget.

SMALL FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/8/18

DeMarre Carroll, BKN at CHA

DraftKings = $5,900

Carroll is off to a great start in March, averaging 20.3 points, eight rebounds, 2.3 assists, one steal and 3.7 three-pointers through three contests. He’s had a resurgent season in general for the Nets and since they don’t own their first round pick next year, he should still get plenty of minutes despite their poor record. Even if he can’t keep up with his recent offensive pace Thursday, he can still provide enough production across the board to justify this price.

Rudy Gay, SA at GS
FanDuel = $4,300
DraftKings = $5,600

Gay injured his eardrum Monday against the Grizzlies but is expected to play Thursday against the Warriors. He was off to a great start in that game before suffering the injury, scoring seven points and grabbing four rebounds in just 14 minutes. He had played at least 24 minutes in both of his previous two contests, averaging 17 points, 6.5 rebounds, and two blocks. The Warriors like to use a lot of small lineups and play at the second-fastest pace (102.6) in the league, making Gay an excellent option Thursday. His price is reasonable on DraftKings, but it’s really low on FanDuel, making him an even better option if you are playing on that site.

POWER FORWARDS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/8/18

Marcus Morris, BOS at MIN
FanDuel = $4,900
DraftKings = $5,400

Morris is only averaging 25 minutes per game in his first season with the Celtics, but he has logged at least 30 minutes in four of his last seven games. The added playing time is significant for his value because his 22.2% usage rate is third-highest on the team. The Timberwolves have not played well defensively of late, allowing an average of 112.1 points over their last seven games. If Morris can get extra minutes again in this contest, look for him to take advantage of their struggles.

Davis Bertans, SA at GS
FanDuel = $4,400
DraftKings = $4,600

The Spurs will be shorthanded up front Thursday with Pau Gasol (shoulder) sidelined. While Joffrey Lauvergne could also see some added playing time, this is not a great matchup for him considering the small lineups the Warriors like to deploy. Their style of play is better suited for Bertans’ skillset, so don’t be surprised if he sees more action than Lauvergne. If you want to go really cheap at power forward, Bertans could be worth the risk in tournament play.

CENTERS

NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/8/18

Jarrett Allen, BKN at CHA

DraftKings = $4,600

Don’t panic over Allen’s last two bad games. One of them came against a good defender in DeAndre Jordan and the other was a bad matchup against the Warriors. He had averaged 13 points, eight rebounds and 1.4 blocks in his five previous games. One of those contests was against these same Hornets when he finished with nine points, seven rebounds, two blocks and one steal. The Nets are going to need him to battle with Dwight Howard on Thursday and I expect him to fair much better than he has in his last two games.

Greg Monroe, BOS at MIN
FanDuel = $4,400
DraftKings = $4,400

Monroe is starting to find his groove with his new team, averaging 14 points, 6.3 rebounds and one block in his last three games. He didn’t play more than 21 minutes in any of those contests, but his 23.1% usage rate since joining the Celtics is already the second-highest on the team. He could see added playing time against a big Timberwolves frontcourt Thursday, making him a viable option for your entry.

Daily Fantasy Basketball NBA Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/01/18

Jeff Teague, vs. Trail Blazers (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,200)
Projected Points: FD: 28.49, DK: 28.93

Over his last five starts Teague has been en feugo. Putting up 21.6 points per game, 6.4 assists, getting the heavy minutes (35), all of this while averaging 40 fantasy points per game. At this price point, with this floor (~32.5), I just don’t see why you wouldn’t have him locked in your DraftKings cash lineup.

De’Aaron Fox, vs. Nets (FD: $5800, DK: $5600)
Projected Points: FD: 28.42, DK: 28.81

If you can’t afford Lillard as the stud of the night then look no further than Fox. Fox is on the uptick every since getting over his tragic pink-eyed incident last Sunday. He’ll get the minutes that you’ll want to see, around 30, which should be where his floor will remain intact versus the sad Brooklyn Nets.

Stud of Night:
Damian Lillard – The expensive pick of the night but I believe that he will be worth it, as he has been on a roll lately.

 

Shootings Guards

Daily Fantasy Basketball NBA Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/01/18

C.J. McCollum, vs. Timberwolves (FD: $7200, DK: $6900)
Projected Points: FD: 33.9, DK: 35.05

Could be one of the chalkiest plays of the night, however, some people might stay away as he had a rough night last night after only scoring 11 points. But, history generally shows that after a rough game he bounces back just fine, especially against Minnesota who give up 35 fantasy points to shooting guard starters. McCollum devoured the Wolves last time out, hitting the perfect lineup and in both DraftKings and FanDuel.

D’Angelo Russell, vs. Kings (FD: $7500, DK: $7300)
Projected Points: FD: 36.72, DK: 38.35

Russell really came through in the last quarter of Tuesday nights game versus the Cavs. Scoring 45 fantasy points, while hitting 9-of-18 shots and three 3-pointers for a total of 25 points, five rebounds and six assists in 32 minutes of play. His numbers have certainly looked solid, and so has the knee he had surgery on since joining the Nets.

 

Small Forward

Daily Fantasy Basketball NBA Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/01/18

DeMarre Carroll, vs. Kings (FD: $5900, DK: $5900)
Projected Points: FD: 29.07, DK: 29.48

I like Carroll tonight to EAT against the Sacramento defense, as Rich Block from Rich’s Building Blocks videos would say in our Lineuplab Facebook Group. His salary is inexpensive and he should undoubtedly hit around the 5x value range. His fantasy points per game have increased over his last five starts showing that this is his perfect time for a perfect lineup.

Nemanja Bjelica, vs. Trail Blazers (FD: $5800, DK: $5300)
Projected Points: FD: 26.29, DK: 26.56

With Jimmy Butler now out for several weeks, it’s the ideal time to lock him into your lineups. Another underpriced player who is playing around the high 30’s in minutes per game. Monday night versus Sacramento Bjelica was in both of the perfect lineups after garnering 36 FanDuel points and 34 DraftKings points. At this price, he is a steal with a solid floor for cash games.

Studs of the Night (if you can afford them, go for it):
Brandon Ingram, vs. Heat (FD: $7400, DK: $6900)
Projected Points: FD: 31.38, DK: 31.66

LeBron James, vs. 76ers (FD: $12200, DK: $11900)

Power Forward

Daily Fantasy Basketball NBA Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/01/18

Dario Saric, vs. Cavaliers (FD: $7100, DK: $6500)
Projected Points: FD: 29.19, DK: 30.49

Saric has been one of the most consistent players for the 76ers, scoring double digits in 40 straight games. What worries me, slightly, is that Philadelphia has just acquired Ersan Ilyasova and is available to play in Thursday nights game, however, being brand new to the squad it is hard to imagine him taking away a lot of playing time from the most consistent guy on the team.

Zach Randolph, vs. Nets (FD: $6100, DK: $6300)
Projected Points: FD: 27.32, DK: 28.11

Randolph tonight is yet another guy poised to go off if Skal Labissiere (ankle) sits (as of right now he is probable). Randolph has been playing well as the Kings continue to have problems with the Center/Forward position. He scored 36.5 DK and 35.1 FanDuel points and does rather well against teams that play at a higher pace (the Nets play at the sixth pace in the league, while the Kings are close the bottom, locking in the 3rd slowest pace in the league.)

Punt Play:
Ed Davis, vs. Timberwolves (FD: $4000, DK: $4200)
Projected Points: FD: 13.4, DK: 13.25

 

Center

Daily Fantasy Basketball NBA Sleepers Lineup Picks for 3/01/18

Hassan Whiteside, vs. Lakers (FD: $7,700, DK: $8,000)
Projected Points: FD: 39.9, DK: 40.17

Over the course of the past ten games, Whiteside has managed to average a double-double putting up 13.7 points per game while grabbing 12.3 rebounds per game. He’s also nearly averaging two blocks per game during the same timeframe and you know how valuable those blocks can be in fantasy basketball. On Tuesday night he crushed the 76ers, putting up 46 DraftKings and 49 FanDuel points.

Julius Randle, vs. Heat (FD: $7,700, DK: $7,500)
Projected Points: FD: 33.8, DK: 34.4

What’s not to love about Julius Randle as of late? Even his coach commended him, saying that he been playing with energy, impact and consistency. His minutes over the last three games have averaged up to 32.5 per game, while his fantasy points have been value-worthy (44.3 DraftKings / 41 FanDuel). Randle has a solid floor of the high 30’s/low 40’s lately, look for him to beat projections tonight.
